Stop trusting charts the week after an SDK upgrade
Teams celebrate a retention lift that appears the same week they upgrade an analytics SDK. Sometimes the product improved. Often the upgrade changed how anonymous IDs merge into known users, how sessions timeout, or which events still fire on older OS versions.
Before rewriting a roadmap, list what changed in the pipeline beside the chart: SDK version, identity rules, timezone settings, and any new consent gate. If those moved, treat the chart as suspect until you rebuild the cohort from raw events.
